Rumors of Justin Bieber dating 18-year-old Disney sweetheart Selena Gomez have been spreading throughout the web for the past few months. The couple has been spotted together on several occasions, from having dinner together to going to the movies. Justin and Selena have also been on vacation together. Although Justin Bieber often mentioned that Selena is just a good friend of his, the fans are not entirely convinced.
On February 2, during a Q&A with his fans in New York, Justin was asked whether or not he is dating Selena Gomez. Even if the fans had been requested not to ask any personal questions and just focus on the up-coming movie, Justin decided to answer, fueling the already enflamed rumors of his relationship with the Disney star, saying: “I think anybody would be lucky to date her. She’s a great person” (Jocelyn Vena, “Justin Bieber Talks Selena Gomez, Miley Cirus at NYC Fan Q&A,” MTV News, 3 Feb. 2011).
On “The Seven” show, at the question a fan asked Justin about whether or not he will be spending his Valentine’s Day with a special someone, Justin mentioned that up until now he has always spent Valentine’s Day by himself. Justin Bieber, however, also added: “I've been single every Valentine's Day. I've never been with a girl on Valentine's Day, so yeah, maybe we can change that this year, right?”
