Selena Gomez on Life!!

Selena Gomez doesn't like being seen as a "good girl" and says she has a "sense of bipolar-ness".
Despite her character often being mean, Selena's image is squeaky clean.
She said: "The biggest thing that bothers me about that is I never said I wanted to be the good girl.
"I just wanted to be known for my work. I love my work, my fans. It does bother me that I am being put in that corner."
Said to be dating Justin Bieber and the target of his jealous fans, topped with being one of the biggest young stars on the planet, is leading Selena to a pretty crazy life.
She said: "I am sure I have some sense of bipolar-ness. I wake up happy then I turn to sadness on a dime. It's crazy but I do enjoy all of it right now."
However, she still won't talk about her relationship with Justin.
Selena would only say: "I do think that Justin is a great performer, he really is."
The Baby singer had better be good. Selena has admitted she'd love to work with jazz pianist Jason Moran.
She said: "I think he is so talented. I have a crush on him, I think."
While she hasn't matched Justin's success in music, she is about to release her third album as part of Selena Gomez & The Scene and a 'I new single Who Says can be downloaded from May 15.
She put the single out early after some biting comments about her and Justin.
She said: "This song says people will always try to cut you down. Don't let people do that to you. It's not a sad song. It's upbeat."
It's brave for Selena to admit that, given she's part of Disney's plastic perfect world and a role model for millions of young girls.
But then when they come up and say they want to be famous and be like her, she tries to steer them into less choppy waters.
She said: "I tell them, 'Don't do it just to be famous. You have to love what you want to do.'
"There will be a lot of rejection and you have to be ready for it.
" I am at a very happy place in my career. But I still get turned down at times.
"You have no choice, you have to keep going."
Her mum has helped her through the dark times. Selena is no tough cookie.
She said: "My mum pushes me to be tougher. I don't know what I'd do without her. She's the driving force behind my success."
Selena's new album follows 2009's Kiss & Tell and last year's A Year Without Rain and includes a Britney Spears-penned tune Whiplash.
There have been claims Britney wrote the song for Selena but she said: "She wrote the song for herself and never put it on her record. I heard it and I loved it then I recorded it."
As well as the new music, Selena has a film out in August called Monte Carlo which also stars Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester.
No wonder she's frazzled.
She said: "It's tough at times. I do everything when I feel like it. That's how these two careers came about.
"I do need a break. My life is so stressful as it is right now."

Selena Gomez got 3 Songs from Britney Spears!!

PREPARE TO FREAK OUT!!!

Selena Gomez recently announced that her next album will be released on Tuesday, June 28. Now, we have another nugget of news about the Disney darling's new album... and it'sgood.

It turns out Britney Spears -- yes, Britney Spears, y'all -- wrote three songs that'll be on Gomez's new album. Three cheers for awesome pop collaborations! According to BreatheHeavy.com, one of the tracks is "Whiplash," a song that didn't make it onto Spears' recent album "Femme Fatale."

Britney's producers Dr. Luke and Kevin Rudolph confirmed the news to Billboard Brazil, with Rudolph saying, "The lyrics are like a drug, so catchy! They're easy, fast and really sexy!"

Sunrise Australia interviews Selena Gomez!!

Selena Gomez did a satellite interview with a morning shown in Australia called Sunrise. They talked about how she is able to stay good and clean for Disney, while many of her fellow Disney stars have not. You can hear what she had to say in the video below.
I love the fact that Selena always remains so classy during interviews. She really is such a good role model. Demi Lovato is so blessed to have Selena as her best friend.
What do you think about the interview? Do you think Selena will be able to follow the path of Hilary Duff, who has thus far been able to stay the right path after Disney? Wait, let me stand corrected-Raven Symone is another example of that. Do you think Selena will be able to follow their footsteps? I hope so, I think she has a good head and great team around her. However, Demi also has a great team around her; her parents. I wish i meet some one as angelic and beautiful by both body and soul.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber indeed met in Asia!!

Well we were right again!!!
In our blog i.e. http://weareselenators.blogspot.com/2011/04/justin-bieber-and-selena-gomez-may-meet.html we told you that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may meet up in Asia. Well they did meet in Asia, Kuala Lampur Malaysia to be more specific.

They were spotted arriving together in Kuala Lumpur on Thusrday April 21st before he started his concert at the Merdeka Stadium.

The couple was said to be smiling, laughing and holding hands. It sure didn't seem like there was any trouble in their relationship as had been reported by the National Enquirer a little over a week ago.

Selena Gomez was photographed wearing a white lace top and worn jeans, while Justin Bieber donned a black tee with jeans. At some point as they were making their way out of the international airport amidst tight security.

About the concert itself, Justin tweeted, "the show must go on! Great show out in the Rain In Malaysia!! Crowd was incredible and it was HOT!!!!" He followed it up with, "time for a shower then team dinner. #southeastasia #blessed".

Selena Gomez Talks About her Fashion Line DOL!!

We all know Vevo rules all of the music videos on YouTube, but they also own Vevo Stylized which caught up with Selena Gomez recently. They talked about her style and fashion line-Dream Out Loud. You will find the whole interview located in the video at the bottom of this post.
I love the fact that she is taking her line to the next step. She does seem to be really into fashion, lets hope that she expands it before long. I think it would sell well if she had a side line of women’s fashion, but that has yet to happen yet.
What do you think about the interview? Do you hope to see Selena growing her brand beyond a junior’s fashion line? I do, but we have to remember that she is still 18 so I suppose that is the last thought on her mind. But maybe in a year or two she will see a great market to join.

Selena Gomez on London and her Band, The Scene !!

Having made her mark in acting from the tender age of six, Selena Gomez has turned her hand to pop domination.
Since forming Selena Gomez & The Scene last year, the 18-year-old Disney star, who also supports Disney's environmental initiative Friends For Change: Project Green, has followed up her debut album Kiss & Tell with a second release, A Year Without Rain.
She reveals all about her musical inspirations, her favourite UK artists and her musical plans for the future.
You performed with rising stars Allstar Weekend recently in London, what are they like?
They are the best, greatest guys, they are fun to hang out with. I have a close bond with them. They opened for my very first concert ever. It was a big deal for us to go on stage together in front of thousands of people 18 months ago. They hold a very special place in my heart because we were there together and we experienced it. Ever since then I always try to get them to open up for me.
What do you like about the London scene?
Obviously I love the fashion and I'm obsessed with the music. I love Pixie Lott, Cheryl Cole and Girls Aloud.
What kind of feedback have your UK fans given you?
I never realised until I came overseas and witnessed it, I was just hoping people showed up! I was amazed at how many people came out. I love meeting the UK fans and keeping in touch on the internet.
Do you see the singing and acting continuing in tandem?
For the time being, yes. I'd like to go one step at a time instead of doing everything at once. That's what I hope happens. I really can't believe I get to do all of this. It's so hard to do one thing like this by itself.
What's on your iPod?
I have everything, from classical to country music, indie, R&B, pop, hip hop, a real selection.
How many songs are on your album?
There are 11 songs on the new album and on the deluxe edition, there are two additional remixes and special behind the scenes features as well.

How do you choose the songs for your album?
Choosing the songs for the album is definitely a collaborative process and it's a hard job to choose from the ones that I recorded. But the ones that are on the album I am truly passionate about and can't wait for everyone to hear. They're really fun and go well with each other.
How did you meet your band?
We auditioned a bunch of people so I have been with them for almost two years now. They're great guys and I really enjoy being around them.
What about the song Rock God on your album? Was it written by Katy Perry?
Katy Perry gave me a track for the record. It's number three on the album and so much fun. I wanted to take her sound and my sound and make an awesome song. It's one of my favourites on the album.
Do you enjoy promoting your new album?
I love promoting the record because I can tour around and tell people about my music. I get to travel around and meet my fans. Being able to do that is just any musician's dream.
What are you most proud of?
I am definitely most proud of this second album and from an acting perspective; I am so proud that the show has won two Emmys. I just feel really blessed.
Who inspires you in the music world?
People that inspire me in the music world are Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole.
What do you prefer - music or acting?
Sometimes I wake up and I love music and other days I wake up and I love movies and acting. At the moment, I don't really know but when I get older, I am probably just going to stick to acting.
Fancy interviewing one of Selena's co-stars? Wizards of Waverly Place's Gregg Sulkin will be talking to fans as part of an exclusive web chat event to celebrate the new season of the show, which premieres on Monday 25th April at 4.50pm on Disney Channel

Selena Gomez "I Used to Dress Like a Boy.."!!

Selena Gomez who has her own clothing line Dream out Loud admits she never cared about fashion when she was young

"I don't think I was always string to be a fashionista," says Selena.

"I dressed like a boy until I was 11, but when I was 13 I got into layering and trying out my own style and I became interested in the fashion in magazine and looking up styles of celebrities."further explained
Well, you may not have always been a fashion queen but 13 is still pretty early to get on the style train and yet handled it majestically. Now her wardrobe is filled with designer clothing and casuals too!
"Style to me is supposed to be fun," she continues.
"It's who you are and what mood you're in. My personal style is definitely more classic.
"I love flowy pieces, I love white and black, very neutral and organic."
"The fashion pieces that I have to have would be scarves and boots. You can basically wear them at any time of the year.
"You can wear a scarf with a sundress because it's very cute and very girly."
What do you think of Selena's fashion tips?

Selena Gomez Expresses her views on being a Judge on "X Factor"

Selena Gomez admits she'd find it to hard to be a judge on a show like The X Factor.
The 18-year-old actress is promoting season 4 of Wizards of Waverly Place, which finally premieres in the UK next week, Monday 25th April at 4.50pm on Disney Channel.
When asked if she'd ever like to become a judge,
she replied: "I don't think I could be a judge on The X Factor, because I would never be able to send anyone home.
"I would just be like 'I can't send anyone home sorry, they're all going to win'," she laughed. "I couldn't do it, so my dream is to either perform on The X Factor or be an audience member."
Selena Gomez also spoke about her dream collaborations. "If I could a duet with anyone, it would be Cheryl Cole or Jason Mraz," she revealed.

Selena Gomez Growing up and Going Strong!!

Disney stardom has created some epic successes- and fails. From Lindsay (jail, again) to Vanessa (naked pictures) to Britney (shaved head), preteen celebs all-grown up have become something to fear. There’s an important sense of reality that seems just out of reach when the going gets really good.
Regardless, there will always be famous kids.  There’s a new generation of them shining through now. With luck, they will outclass the stereotypes that precede them, starting with Selena Gomez.
Selena Gomez has lived her life in front of cameras since acting in Barney & Friends at seven years old. Now nearly nineteen, she’s most famously known as the cool, sleuthy, high-schooling Alex Russo from The Wizards of Waverly Place. This year will be the show’s final season, which means a new stage for this celeb.
She keeps up the fierce duality of acting and music like a star of today’s standards.  Beyond shooting her series finale and a new movie, preparing to tour for her third album, releasing a clothing line, reportedly dating Justin Beiber, and just being young, Selena has found a philanthropic alliance with UNICEF that seems to benefit them both.  ”Whenever I explain to people about going on my trip, I always end up saying that I left Africa gaining more than I did for those kids because I felt incredibly humble,” she says as we discuss the Celebrity Tap Project, a program that focuses on the lifesaving importance of clean water worldwide.
It turns out Selena has more balance than you’d expect from a fame-bearing teenager. She’s comfortable with acknowledging that she doesn’t know everything, but can admit that she has a lot.  There’s humility that comes with her wide-eyed hope for a more caring youth that makes it clear why UNICEF chose her to be their youngest brand ambassador to date.
What exactly does it mean to be a UNICEF brand ambassador?
They are basically using my voice and my platform to educate kids. I’m able to take trips with them. I’m able to be educated on what they’re doing. the next step of making the number zero from having 14,000 children die a day from preventable causes. That’s why I was one of the first people to become part of the Tap Project this year.
Does your philanthropy drive you to educate yourself more about what’s going on in the world?
Yes and no, the best thing about being a part of these things is that I don’t have to grow up.  I’ve made videos on YouTube and I’ve talked to my fans about it- like i had an acoustic show for UNICEF a while back where I had fans come in and ask me questions about UNICEF and I was able to say, “look I don’t know a lot of the things that I want to learn and that’s what I’m trying to encourage everyone else to do”.
I will be honest, when I went to Ghana, I had no idea what I was going to go see or what it was, I had no idea of any of it. I had my fans on twitter ask me what Ghana is like, “what’s Ghana”, or, “where’s Ghana”, and I was able to say, you guys can Google it, look it up, or do something.  So its nice because I’m not 35 years old and I don’t know lot about all of the things that go on in the world. I’m able to grow up with my fans and able to grow up with UNICEF, having them trust me and know that I genuinely want to learn and that I genuinely want to know what’s going on.
Are these things you keep in mind when you make professional and entrepreneurial decisions?
I feel like my life is sometimes extremely superficial. And it makes that superficialness go away in my mind. Because I do love what i do and I do think that sometimes it can be very selfish and vain. I mean I’m in two hours of hair and makeup and walking red carpets and things like that. So i feel really really happy when I connect with UNICEF.  With my clothing line, we did something for Trick or Treat. We did a UNICEF tshirt- we sold two tshirts and all the funds went to UNICEF. Its fun to kind of incorporate that in what I do.
What do you want your fans to walk away with as a result of those efforts?
I would hope that they just feel good about doing something good. And just want to be better to everybody. Not just to people in foreign countries that we dont know and are less fortunate than us but somebody, your neighbor, or someone down the street, or someone at school, something.
Things your friends are doing are leaning towards philanthropy, too. Taylor Swift is also part of this program, and it seems like you are pretty good friends.
Yea, I’m so stoked that she is on, I love her. I think that’s what it’s about, obviously sharing it with everybody.  I met a girl who was twelve years old and she and her friends raised $3,000 for UNICEF because she read in a magazine that I was working with them. That blew my mind. She did car washes, she did things at her school. That does feel incredible and I hope that continues.
I read something about Justin Beiber asking his fans to donate to a clean water program for his birthday.
See that’s what I love. That’s definitely something that is really cool to have a part of anybody not just him, but everyone.
Here is Selena’s Tap Project commercial!!

Selena Gomez mother's Birthday!!

Well people today is a special day! It may not be a special for us but its a lot special to Selena Gomez. Its a birthday of a person she respects the most. Well i am sure most of you would have guessed it, its her mother Mandy Teefey birthday.

She (Selena Gomez mother) was an actress when she was in her 20's. She is half Italian by birth. The only hiccup in her life was that she got divorced when Selena was 5 years old both were very emotionally broken down at that moment. Selena's mother, Mandy Teefey, sparked Selena's desire to be on stage while she herself performed on stage throughout the Dallas Metropolitan area. She (Selena Gomez mother) was an actress when she was in her 20's. She is half Italian by birth. The only hiccup in her life was that she got divorced when Selena was 5 years old both were very emotionally broken down at that moment.

In Selena short documentary "Girl Meets World"

She said "I don't know how to thank my parents they have sacrificed everything for me, I don't know what I would have been without them." She added "I am what I am today thanks to only my Parents who sacrificed and my Fans who loved" Than a few precious drops of tears rolled her cheeks.

Well so we as fans of Selena Gomez should celebrate the birthday of a person who Selena respects the most her MOTHER!
