Selena Gomez on her Parents in an Interview by E!....

Selena Gomez has admitted that she found her parents' divorce "hard" to accept.
Selena opens up about her parents' separation when she was a young child in an upcoming special for E!, which airs June 29.

Selena Gomez says in a preview transcript: "I wanted a family so bad. I wanted to have my dad and my mum together. So it was really hard."

Her mother adds: "It was very hard for her and she didn't understand. You know, it was like destroying her family. All we could do is just say, 'I'm sorry, but you will understand one day'."

Selena Goméz also gives an account during the special about the time that she and close friend Taylor Swift tried to blend into college life on a visit to the University of Notre Dame in Indiana to see Swift's brother.

"We went and we got all this Notre Dame gear so we're like wearing the Notre Dame jacket and the Notre Dame visor and we learned that's not how you fit in at college evidently," she recalls. "As we were walking around, masses of people ended up following us. And yes they had to call security but it's all we have that's close to a normal college experience."

Selena Goméz is currently promoting her third studio album When The Sun Goes Down and can be seen opposite Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy in the upcoming comedy movie Monte Carlo.
